Brownsville Community Health CenterBrownsville Community Health Center in Texas is creating a new generation of environmental champions through its innovative HEAN Team summer camp. Children learn how to protect the environment and operate the Eco-Pacs, and then act as ambassadors to their family and neighbors. For Brownsville—a border city plagued by urban decay and factory pollution—these youth are an infusion of hope.

The Brownsville Community Health Center (BCHC) an independent Federally Qualified Health Center was initially founded over sixty years ago to provide health care to the underserved in southern Cameron County, Texas. BCHC’s mission is to provide comprehensive primary health care services with excellence and dignity to our community. For more information about BCHC, please visit their website.
